Why did you start an Estate Agency?

I came into estate agency at quite a chaotic time in my life. I’d been working in car sales and was actually due to start a new job with BMW when an opportunity came up.

I’d been applying for a few roles and came across a position for a self-employed estate agent. I remember getting the phone call while I was in B&Q with a mate, the director invited me in for an interview, and I thought, “Why not? Let’s see what this is about.”

I went along and was quickly sold on the idea. I genuinely thought, “I can do this, and I can do it well.”

It was a complete change from what I was used to, but I took a leap of faith and just went for it. I thought, “What’s the worst that can happen?”

Turned out well in the end! That decision led me to founding Bridges Properties, and I haven’t looked back since.
